I also just visited Bangkok end Mar 07. I don't like the old airport neither do I like the new airport. Cause beside big and more shops, the whole airport design only got one colour: grey/silver! Look so un-welcoming....and also very stuffy at certain locations...
Seem that you like Siam Paragon alot. Please let me know where are the place and what are the food is a must go and try. Especially with my 2 Kids 17 & 19 years. I will be there for 4 days 3 nights. We will be staying at Asia hotel too, how is it like?

Helen: Siam Paragon food court is just at basement. Try the street foods too but get a Hep B shot before u go. Asia Hotel is old but very convenient, cause MRT is on second floor of hotel. And its near Siam centre, MBK(must go), and Siam Paragon.

The new Bangkok airport is very bright, but too "metalic-feel". Anyway, it's better than the old airport.
